Tip for you!

If you are anything like me and you like to cook, then you probably have tons of recipes just lying around or stuffed in a drawer. Here is what I came up with to solve that problem. I bought a binder one with a sleeve on the front you can slip paper into. Then I picked a cute paper to use as the cover. Then you just buy some plastic cover sheets and slip all your recipes in. I am all the time getting recipes from friends and family and food network. So this worked out great for me. So I thought I would share it with all of you.
Helpful Hints:
1. Buy a binder wit the plastic sheet so you are able to slid in your paper. I think the white goes best. (well with the paper I chose)
2. buy the plastic cover sheets from Costco. It will save you a lot of money. You can buy 200 for $10. At Walmart you can buy 20 for $5. You do the math!
3. You can go to a scrapbook store to pick your paper. Or you can get old wallpaper. The paint store give there old wallpaper books away. Sometimes they have really cute ones. Or you can use cute wrapping paper. Whatever you want.

Me and the Brithday Boy.

Well we had 2 birthday in one week. Jared turned 30. And our youngest son turned 1. This cake was for Jared. It was chocolate cake with raspberry jam and Chocolate mousse and Marshmallow frosting. It doesn't look that great but it tasted that way. I am still new on the cake decorating side. For Bennett we did a bonnie butter cake with cream cheese frosting. It was interesting and fun to try my hand a decorating. We had fun on both days and enjoyed large amounts of cake.

Bikes!!!

The boys tired out their new bikes, but for the most part they just loved wearing their helmets and pads. They wear them everywhere. Derek would wear it to bed if you would let him. Not kidding! But it has been nice weather so we played some basketball and road bikes. All in all it was a great night. Bennett just hung out in his waker. But he can get booking in that thing.

Can I just say Best Costumes EVER!!!

Can I just say that Lynsie made the best costume ever for Tess. She is soo cute! Don't you think so. Watch out they might kick your butts!! Ouch!

This year for Christmas all the Smiths were together it was a lot of fun. The boys love to see their cousins even when there is a few tears and scratched faces on both sides. They love to play and some times to rough. But what is great is the boys all love the same things. Pirates, superman, Batman, Star Wars. Plus I get to hang out with Lynsie which is always fun. Love ya Linz!!

What we can't wait for!!

We are waiting for summer and all the swimming we will be doing. We had a great Christmas and New year. But we are ready for the snow to be gone. It might be different if we had gotten a lot of snow so we could have gone sledding. but we didn't and now we just want it gone so the boys can ride their new bikes that Santa brought. We are also looking forward to doing more things outside. So hears to wishing the snow will be gone soon.
